Concerned? ~ It Concerns Me

CONCERNED? ~  IT CONCERNS ME . . .

By Rodney W. Francis

In a day when so much open anti-Christ things are being spoken and brought into law by Governments, we Christians need to know that God is very much at work in this hour causing multitudes of people to come into a life-changing experience with Jesus Christ. Christians have been pre-warned of the events of the world in these last days, so we should not be too ignorant of the happenings that are taking place. The Bible holds the answers for all mankind and has an accurate presentation of the conditions in the world in these times. As it was in the days of Noah and Lot: “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built, but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it . . .” (see Luke 17:26-37). In the days of Noah and Lot the people were consumed in living for fleshy things and satisfying self-interests, with no thought that there would be a day of reckoning and accountability.

Yes, we are concerned about the conditions of these times, as we know the devil is blinding many minds from receiving the knowledge of the truth, which is Jesus Christ (see 2 Corinthians chapter 4).

It concerns me that so many are totally ignorant of the fact that the day is coming when we will all stand before Jesus Christ to give an account of the life we have lived. Those who are caught-up in the downward spiral of this generation are not aware of that which is to come, or are they conscious that we all will spend eternity in either Heaven or Hell. Can this trend be changed? That is why God has placed you and me here on this earth “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14) so we can be a positive answer to the negative, anti-Christ spirit which is in the world. We Christians have been charged by Jesus Christ to take His Gospel to the ends of the earth in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). That commission has not changed.

It is ironic that in these days of the gathering in of the great end-time harvest ~ where opportunities abound everywhere ~ the Church, generally, is afflicted with a lack of leaders, labourers, and finance. The words of Jesus are still so true: “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the labourers are few. So pray the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust labourers into His harvest” (Matthew 9:37-39, AMP.). “And this Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).

  • You are part of God’s answer for this generation!! Hallelujah!

  • Do not  be guilty of failing in your calling to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth in whatever way the Lord directs you.

  • Make sure you fulfil your calling and destiny in Jesus Christ ~ today!

It concerns me that there is a hunger for reality and truth in a number of nations who, generally speaking, have not had a lot of opportunities to experience first-hand the power and impact of New Covenant Christianity until now. But when that message is proclaimed and demonstrated, there is a positive response from people to receive it. Tragically, when the opportunities are there to gather in a great harvest for Jesus, the labourers and finances are not there in the numbers they ought to be! It concerns me that so much of Christian finances are not getting to where they ought to be ~ the winning of the lost to Jesus Christ ~ and the discipling of those won to Jesus ~ so they can know Him personally and be assured of an eternity with Him. Daily we are receiving requests and pleas for Bibles and books as people are hungry to know the truth. It concerns me that in many of these requests we have to say “Sorry, but we cannot provide owing to lack of finances, etc.”

It concerns me of the general lack of knowledge and understanding there is in Christian circles of the Prophetic Ministry. If leaders did know and understand, then they would all be pursuing the Prophetic Ministry actively, as the benefits are beyond anything that theology and sermons can produce. Prophetic Ministry is hearing, knowing and living by the voice of the Holy Spirit, Who is the Spirit of Truth. What He tells us is exactly right for us, and when we obey what He asks it always turns out right in the end. What a joy and privilege it is to be living in the light, knowledge, understanding and benefits of what the Lord tells us. The operation of the Spiritual Gifts brings about these things. I am living in the fulfilment of numbers of prophetic words spoken into my life over the years ~ from people totally unknown to me, as well as people who do know me and have encouraged me prophetically. The fruit of those words is outworked in The GFM Ministry in that we are today touching multiplied thousands of lives around the world ~ and it continues to grow daily. To God be all the glory (as I know I did not have the ability to do it, until He spoke to me and told me what He wanted me to do. Interestingly, it is surprising how many Christians have tried to tell me that what we are doing is not God’s will for us!! This is another reason why it is so important that we know God’s voice, for it is much more accurate than what people try and tell us).

DO NOT PUT OFF UNTIL TOMORROW . . .

It concerns me that so many of us are “putting off until tomorrow that which we should be doing today”! Listen again to the words of Jesus: “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not laboured; others have laboured, and you have entered into their labours” (John 4:35-38).

We are to be workers together in the sowing and reaping of the harvest that is ripe today ~ now. As each of us does our part then the harvest will not be lost; it will be gathered in. But if we neglect to do what Jesus has chosen us to do, then we will be guilty of some of the harvest being lost. And that is very sad.

MAKE A FRESH COMMITMENT TODAY!

May we all consider again the purpose for which Jesus saved us; and let us make sure that we are actively involved in the fulfilling of that purpose for which we have been called and chosen. This is not a time for excuses ~ it is a time for greater commitment; a greater involvement in getting the message of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit out to the multitudes today. Through personal relationship with Jesus, know what your part in the Great Commission is (Mark 16:15-20). Be faithful in praying for those ministries that are involved in the gathering in of the harvest; support them financially; and when God opens the door go forth and be a reaper of the harvest. If every Christian had such a commitment we would soon see a great and positive change taking place with multitudes more people being born-again into the Kingdom of God. Let us make sure we are part of the Answer and not part of the problem! There is nothing better in this life than to know the will of God and to be doing it! Amen!

3 KEYS TO AN ABUNDANT AND FRUITFUL MINISTRY:

  1. Instant Obedience! “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22). “Whatsoever He says to you, do it” (John 2:5).

  2.  Reckless Faith! “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). “He (Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief” (Romans 4:20).

  3. Great Expectations! “When you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them” (Mark 11:24). “. . . And your expectation shall not be cut off” (Proverbs 24:14).
