LESSON No. 1 ~ KJV

This first Lesson lays the foundation for Divine Healing. In the Scriptures we see that healing is part of God’s plan for all who will believe. These questions are from the KJV Bible, so if possible answer them from this translation. May you be blessed and encouraged as you study God’s Word.

We commence by turning to ISAIAH 53:4-5. These two verses are speaking of Jesus’ death on the Cross for us.

 1. “Surely He __________________ our ________________________ and carried our ___________________.”

(Griefs means “sickness, weakness, pain, diseases” and sorrows means “pain”).

 2.What was Jesus wounded for? _____________________________________________________________

Turn now to 1 PETER 2:24 and see how Peter looks back at the finished work of Jesus on Calvary and what He did there for our sins and sicknesses:

The Ministry of Jesus in healing the sick was to fulfil the prophecies of Isaiah the prophet. Please turn to St. LUKE 4:17-20 to find the answers to our next set of questions:

 In the Old Testament God had conditions for His people to keep in order for them to enjoy His provision of health

 and healing. God is the Healer. Please turn to EXODUS 15:26 for your next lot of answers:

The Scriptures we have studied in this Lesson tell us what God has provided for us in Christ and what He desires to do for us (in relation to health and healing) when we will fulfil the condition He had given. In our next Lesson we shall commence our study of the healing ministry of Jesus when on earth.
