0019 - Secure In His Love

SECURE IN HIS LOVE!

If there is one thing the Christian life and message should give to us, it is that of our being secure in His love. Jesus came to bring us into fellowship and relationship with God. "God is LOVE" (1 John 4:8)! The love of God comes to us to make us feel very accepted, very loved, very much a part of the family of God. His love to us is amazing! Even when we feel undeserving of it, it is still there. God does not change His mind on us. Listen to these powerful verses:

"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure" (1 John 3:1-3, NKJV).

What an amazing statement! God so loves you and me that He is proud to call us His children. This love and knowledge is outside anything the world can either understand or give us. This great, secure love of God to us comes through knowing Him - personally! God has always wanted to be a Personal God to us through Jesus. And because this love is personal it makes us so very secure in Him. Is there anything greater and more worthwhile than knowing we are secure in His personal love to us? This love gives us confidence to look for the revealing and coming of Jesus to take us to be with Himself forever! This love is so great, and strong, that when we do see Himwe shall be like Him! We shall see Him in the full revelation of Who He is! This is truly love so amazing, so divine! God's love works within us as a tremendous purifier, preparing us and making us ready to be just like Him. Praise the Lord!

Dear Christian, there is a day coming when we will see Jesus face to face. At that day we will see and know that everything we've suffered, every disappointment and mis-understanding we've experienced in our walk with God, will all be more than worthwhile (Romans 8:18). There is nothing to compare with our meeting the Great Lover of our soul and seeing Him face to face, and our being just like Him! Can you imagine that? Can you see that you were worth it all for Jesus to do all that He did to redeem your life? Let us not allow our lives to be distracted by the negatives, by the criticisms, by those who do not understand the claims of Jesus on your life (Christians included). As a born-again believer you are the recipient of God's great love, and you are to be secure - very secure - in His love. Receive more of it today. Rest in it! Enjoy it! Revel in it! It's yours in Jesus' Christ the Lord! - Rodney Francis.

Please Pray This Prayer:

“Dear Lord, what a privilege is mine to come to You in Jesus' name. I thank and praise You for Your great love to me. My life would be nowhere without Your indwelling love and today I focus afresh on Your love for me. I thank You for the security of Your love and I pray that I will know and understand  Your great love to me more and more with every passing day. Dear Precious Jesus, it is such an honour to love and serve You in these tremendous times of the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. May I impart Your love to others with increasing effectiveness Amen.
