Spiritual Gifts Flowed From Reading “School Of The Holy Spirit” manual

Greetings! Recently I preached in Albany (Georgia, USA). Well, I had just finished studying the section on the Spiritual Gift of “The Word of Knowledge” from your awesome manual, “School of the Holy Spirit.” That morning when I was in prayer, I asked God to allow me to function in the spiritual gift of knowledge, etc. During that prayer ~ while I was meditating, I saw a glimpse of an image of a purple suit with a nice decorative flap across the chest ~ it was really brief. I didn't know if this was just me, or something I thought in my brain ~ so within me I said: "Okay, what do I tell the person with this suit?" and in my spirit (not audibly) the first thing that came to me was: "I have healed her of cancer." Okay, I thought, “LaVeisha, you're sleepy; just go back to sleep before church.”

Well, once I arrived at church and the service started (I had forgotten all about the image). Then I saw a lady with a dark purple suit, and I laughed within myself, because I was still like, "Girl, you are way off-base; keep staying before God!!!!" Then, Lo and behold, there was this older lady with the EXACT suit that was shown to me that morning ~ the same decorative flap and all ~ I know my mouth dropped and my eyes popped! I was like, “Okay, I see the suit, but I am not about to tell that lady You have healed her of cancer ~ what if she didn’t have cancer to begin with, or what if I imagined it?” My mind was running 90 to nothing!!!!

After the sermon, I begin praying for people. This one guy came up and wanted to be saved. I begin to lead him through the prayer of repentance and out of nowhere I smelled this STRONG alcohol odor! I said to myself: "I know good and well that this man did not come up in God's house drunk." But he was not tipsy and his speech was not slurred. The smell went away, and then it came back again, STRONG. I looked at the people working the alter with me, but no one else appeared to smell it. THEN it HIT me! THE SPIRITUAL GIFT OF KNOWLEDGE ~ THE ALOCHOL WAS HIS ADDICTION! God supernaturally allowed me to SMELL the addiction! I moved the microphone so that only he could hear me and, when I started praying for the alcohol addiction to cease, He cried out the more! But, my mind started wondering again, I mean that odor was so loud and strong somebody would have smelled it. So, after the service I rushed to him and just started a casual conversation. I said to myself, if he has been drinking, I will be able to smell it still. As we conversed, there was NO alcohol smell! God is an awesome God.

Getting back to the purple suit: Before I took my seat, I did muster up enough courage to walk to the lady in purple and I asked her if she was struggling within her body, and in a trembling voice she said: "Yes, I am struggling." I prayed for her and told her "By His stripes, you are healed," and continued to build her up through edifying words and Scriptures.
