Dear Rodney, My name is Laura Handy and I live in the UK and attend Beacon Community Church (or Burntwood Elim Church as it used to be called). During your visit to the U.K. several years ago you came to our church and had a word for me about missions. You told me that God said that He saw my heart for hurting countries, and my desire to go abroad, and that He would open the doors for that to happen through short-term mission. You had a picture of me with my arms round lots of black children just loving them..... I wanted to write to say that God did indeed open the door and I have just come back from my first mission to Kenya - it was amazing. I have fallen in love with the country and its people, and know that I will be heading out there again in the next 6-12 months. I was there with a group from our church. We have just formed strong links with a church in Kenya that has become our sister church. After one of the services we were outside taking pictures and playing with the children and one picture was taken were I was standing with a few children with my arms round them - just as the picture was being taking lots of other young people jumped into the picture - at that moment God reminded me of the word that He had given me and I realized that in that moment I was standing in the exact fulfillment of the prophesy!!!
