WE  WIN!

If we understand the times in which we live, we will know that it is a day of confrontation.  People’s values and belief systems are being challenged and confronted like never before.  Religious teachings that do not acknowledge and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God have risen up to rubbish the Gospel and mock its teachings.

Jesus, our Lord, Leader and Example, brought confrontation simply by speaking the facts and expounding the truth.  We too will experience the same because speaking the truth always riles up the devil and his followers.  But we must not be tempted to hide or back away from the truth simply because someone doesn’t agree with God’s Word.  We are to “let our light shine!” 

The world may be utterly deceived, but, we who love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ will stand and honour the name of the Lord in a day when it seems that all hell has broken loose.  Who has caused the anarchy?  Mankind!  The human race must take the blame for the mess the world is in.

“Know this also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be selfish, greedy, boastful, proud, blasphemous, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, hard-hearted, merciless, slanderers, violent, fierce, hostile towards Christians, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (allergic to God!), holding to the outward form of religion but rejecting its real power – stay away from these people.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).  Yes, the blame is fairly and squarely placed upon the shoulders of mankind.  But …

• This is not a day to be faint-hearted in our faith.

• This is not a day to water-down the truth of the Scriptures.

The Lord our God is well able to defend His Word and bring it to pass, despite all the opposition and anarchy. 

• God’s Word will never be extinguished or disposed of. 

• God’s Word will stand forever. 

Stand firm, my friend.  Know that the Lord our God is the only True God.  He is the beginning (the Alpha) and the end (the Omega), and He is not about to have a nervous breakdown because there is opposition to His Word.  “If God decided to hold His breath, every man, woman, and child would die for lack of air” (Job 34:14-15 - The Message); that’s how much our God is in control!  Everything that He has prophesied will most certainly come to pass. 

  He chose us because He loves us, and in Him we have the surest foundation there is to have. Our effectiveness in the Kingdom of God is dependent upon our fearlessness to speak the truth.  So, do not be afraid.  We are soldiers of the Lord and we are equipped to serve in His army.

"Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armour of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles (the trickery) of the devil" (Ephesians 6:10-11).

"Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting, you'll still be (standing) on your feet" (Ephesians 6:13 - The Message).
