TODAY  IS  THE  DAY!

We are not guaranteed a tomorrow, and, even though we look ahead and prepare for tomorrow, yet TODAY IS THE DAY!  What we are doing TODAY for the Lord and His Kingdom is what matters most. 

Jesus knew that when it was time for Him to go back to be with His Father, He wouldn’t say within Himself, “Oh dear, I don’t know how My disciples will ever cope without Me!”  No!  It was to the contrary.  Jesus said, “Truly, truly I tell you, the one who believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater works than these because I am going to the Father” (John 14:12 - ISV).  

Jesus focused the attention of His followers on receiving power from on high, not on His departure.  “But you shall be baptised with the Holy Ghost . . . you shall receiver power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you . . . you shall be My witnesses - to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:5 & 8).

Jesus knew He could only be in one place at one time but, through His death, resurrection and return to heaven, His followers would reap a harvest that would take them into all the world.

·         Jesus never sowed a seed of tragedy through His death.

·         He sent the Holy Ghost Who empowers us to be His witnesses.

·         He sowed seeds that would reap a harvest – to the ends of the earth.

“Therefore, as the Holy Ghost says, ‘TODAY, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts . . .’ ” (Hebrews 3:7, 8 & 15).

Have we taken time to draw aside and hear what He is saying to us TODAY?

So now is the time to follow through on it.  Now is the time to DO IT.  The harvest is now and not in four months’ time (John 4:35-38).  The Holy Ghost is our teacher.  He teaches us so we can DO IT.  The Lord desires that we should have fruit on our branches . . . TODAY!  Fruit are not an option; they are a ‘must’ for us to be healthy in God.  There is a priority that God has burning in His heart TODAY and that’s the priority of having His people functioning in the truth of His Word; flowing in the empowerment He gives us as we receive His power from on high.

·         Stay  focused!

·         Have  a  listening  ear!

·         Have  an  obedient  heart!

·         Reap  a  harvest  TODAY!
