STAND  ON  HIS  WORD

Isn’t it so encouraging when the Lord gives us a word especially for His direction in our life.   What do we do with that word?   Do we allow that word to be worked out in our life?  Do we act upon it? That word is God’s declaration to us.  God knows the calling He placed upon our life even before we were conceived.

Jeremiah received a word (Jeremiah 1:4-9) . . .

The Lord said to me, “I chose you before I gave you life, and before you were born I selected you to be a prophet to the nations.”  Jeremiah answered, “Sovereign Lord, I don’t know how to speak, I am too young.”  But the Lord said to me, “Do not say that you are too young, but go to the people I send you to, and tell them everything I command you to say.  Do not be afraid of them, for I will be with you to protect you.  I, the Lord, have spoken.”  Then the Lord reached out, touched my lips, and said to me, “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth . . .”

How Jeremiah saw himself was not how God knew him.  He attempted to fight God with an excuse, but the Lord touched his lips and quashed his argument, just as He did when Moses offered the same excuse.

LET  GOD  BE  IN  YOUR  MOUTH.

LET  GOD  GIVE  YOU  HIS  WORDS.

False religion (idol worship) surrounded Jeremiah but God made him strong.  The Lord was causing him to ‘stand up’ on the inside.  The world works on the principle of ‘standing us up’ or ‘pulling us down’ on the outside because that’s what they see: the flesh motivates them.  But God’s people are motivated from within.  The Spirit of the Lord dwells in us, causing us to swim upstream against the world’s current in order to be led by Him.  Yes, there will be opposition (verse 19) but we will not be defeated for God, our God, is with us to deliver us.

DON’T  MISS  OUT  ON  GOD’S  BEST  BECAUSE  OF  A  NEGATIVE  ATTITUDE.

STAND  UP  ON  THE  INSIDE.

BE  THE  PERSON  GOD  CREATED  YOU  TO  BE.

GOD’S  UNWAVERING  COMMITMENT  IS  EXTENDED  TOWARD  YOU  AS  YOU  CHOOSE  TO  WALK  IN  OBEDIENCE  TO  HIM.

What is the word of the Lord saying to you today?  Seek Him through the Scriptures; seek Him in your quiet times; seek Him with all your heart.  Then let that word that He plants in your spirit work in your inner man so that God’s message may come forth.

GOD  IS  TOTALLY  POSITIVE  ABOUT  YOU.

ARE  YOU  TOTALLY  POSITIVE  ABOUT  GOD?
