New Life In Christ

If Jesus had died without later rising from the dead, then it could be said that His life ended in defeat.  But, the Great God that we serve had an amazing and wonderful purpose in the death and resurrection of His Glorious Son – it was predestined from a compassionate and loving God for your sake and mine.

  • God DID raise Jesus from the grave

  • God DID give His Son a new, resurrected life.

What does this mean for us?

I guess, if you’re not a born-again Christian, then it means very little to you at this point, but the day is coming when your decision to reject Jesus, the Christ, will cost you everything!

For those who have been grafted into God’s family, the death and resurrection of Jesus is pivotal to our faith.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away” – that’s the death of our old self and life – “the new has come” – that’s our resurrection and new life in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17)

  • The beauty of new life cannot be separated from the need of death to the old life and nature

  • There can be no resurrection until there has first been a death.
  • Jesus paid the account in full for our sins and sicknesses

  • They were all laid on Him as He hung on the cross.
  • He willingly became our scapegoat.

What did that do for us?

  •  It placed Jesus as the Mediator between God and us

  • Jesus became “the bridge” to our freedom.

“If the Son (Jesus) therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).

“Truly, I say unto you, he that hears (takes heed to) My Word, and believes on Him (God) that sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation (judgment); but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24).

Because Christ Jesus lives in our heart, a great work of transformation is taking place in us on the inside – it is an ongoing work of God’s grace.  But, from the day we opened our heart to Him, His victory over death has been flowing through us in resurrection power, and we know, that we know, that we know, we have passed from death unto life.

Have you asked Jesus Christ into your heart and life?

He’s only a prayer away!
