. . .  Because He Is God

God does marvellous and awesome things . . . . because He is God!

And, . . . . because He is God, we don't have to impress Him or win His favour. We just have to love Him, trust Him and obey Him as we walk in our personal relationship with Him.

Gideon didn't have to impress God; he just had to learn to love Him, trust Him and obey Him. When the Angel of the Lord appeared to him as he was threshing wheat in the winepress, hiding his actions from the marauding Midianites, he was full of unbelief and fear. But when he opened his heart to the Word of the Lord, he began to recognise that GOD WAS BIGGER than the enemy!

He came to comprehend that HEAVEN WAS ON HIS SIDE!

Had the circumstances changed yet? No!

Were the enemy Midianites still harassing them? Yes!

But Gideon's mindset was changing. He came to understand that, through faith, he was no longer a captive to his own fear and inferiority.

He could BELIEVE FOR THE BEST and TRUST GOD TO DO THE REST . . . . because He's God!

And, as he took up the challenge, his positive actions blessed his whole nation. His nation's circumstances went from that of being downtrodden and hopeless, to that of being a victorious, overcoming people.

When the real Gideon came forth - the Gideon God created him to be - he was the MIGHTY MAN OF VALOUR, just as the Angel said he was.

Has the real 'YOU' come forth yet? The 'YOU' God created you to be!
