Can you grasp the fact that God, the same wonderful God who created this universe, is a God whose heart is throbbing and pulsating with love for you?   If you can grasp this fact then you’ll be able to pursue Him from the same angle, from a yielded and searching heart.  The Lord our God has an unending passion to connect His heart with ours; to connect His thoughts with our thoughts because He made us for this very purpose, to have a Father/son or Father/daughter relationship with us.

The world is full of hard teachings that God exists only to stand over us with a rod of correction in His hand, waiting to strike us when we make a wrong move.  The truth is that God stands beside us with His outreached arms open wide, calling us, beckoning us to come and nestle in His heavenly love; calling us to open our hearts to His wonderful loving heart.

Love is the highest expression of God’s relationship toward us so it is only natural that He would require us to love Him in return.

“The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love--so you can't know Him if you don't love” (1 John 4:8, The Message).

Jesus said, "Those who accept My commandments and obey them are the ones who love Me. My Father will love those who love Me; I too will love them and reveal Myself to them"  (John 14:21, Good News Bible). 

Yes, Jesus, the Son of the Living God is always willing to receive us as His son or His daughter when we reach out to Him from a searching heart in love.  That love includes and embraces reaching out to humankind without bias or prejudice.

Jesus died for all mankind; He doesn’t discriminate between one people-group and another; He didn’t die for one select group of people.  The Message Bible puts it like this . . . “You don’t need a telescope, a microscope or a horoscope to realise the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without Him” (Colossians 2:9).  Jesus came with all the fullness of heaven to make His presence felt in all the universe.  His heart is open wide to every man, to every woman, and to every child, in every village, in every town, in every city, on every farm, on every island and in every country in the entire world.

So, reach out and seek for His love, for His grace and for His mercy.  What a different world this would be if everyone loved and served the True God, who gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to bring us unto Himself.  The more this world switches off from believing in and seeking God, the more wicked and dangerous it becomes.  No one could fail to notice what a different world it is to the one we grew up in.  I wonder why?  The created beings, mankind, have elevated themselves above the Creator, the Lord God, and are now paying dearly for this arrogant and elevated position they have sought to take.

But the Lord is a kind and loving God who reaches out to us on a personal level, calling us in a personal way to love and serve Him, no matter what other people say and do.

“Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ's love for us?  Absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us” (Romans 8:35 & 39, The Message).

Yes, God is love.  Are you basking in His love today?  He’s only a prayer away.

Prayer:  Loving Heavenly Father, my heart is drawn toward You right now and I ask You to come into my heart because You’re a loving, compassionate God.  Forgive me of the things I have done wrong in my life and help me to surrender my life to You.  Pour Your love into my heart and life today, proving to me that You are real and Your Word, the Bible is true.  I ask this in the name of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
